  • Bhiknoor PG Centre Profile:
    The Post Graduate College, Bhiknoor was started in the year 1976 under the Six Point Formula programme with the objective of establishing the PG Centres in rural areas. It was established under the Osmania University then.It is situated at the T junction, known as the BASIC, which is 5 km away from Bhiknoor town and 15 km from Kamareddy town on the National Highway 7 towards Nizamabad. PG College Bhiknoor commenced with M.Sc(Chemistry) having specialization in Agrochemicals, Fertilizers, Pesticides as job-oriented courses with an intake of 12 students. Since its formation, the centre has come a long way in achieving academic excellence and many students went on to pursue Ph.D programmes. The institute with Gurukulam atmosphere in a serene and peaceful environment in 40-acres of lush green lands brings about the best out of the students academically. Every year significant number of CSIR/UGC fellowships are bagged by the students of this college.

    Facilities available:
    The college has well equipped laboratories with all the necessary apparatus and instruments and well furnished classrooms. A Computer laboratory with six systems is an additional attractive feature of this institute. The library has good collection of textbooks, latest reference books, and collected volumes. Books on other subjects such as Computers and General English are also available. Library subscribes to scientific journals and also various other periodicals and Magazines useful in updating knowledge. Vivekananda Hall which is used for regular classes is equipped with sound system, slide and over head projectors for conducting seminars and invited lectures. Hostel accommodation is provided to all the students with adequate facilities. The hostel mess is provided by students and the college will not provide any financial support in this regard.

    Tours and Visits:
    This college has the practice of arranging the visits to the important institutions like Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Dr. Reddy’s Research Foundation(DRF), Nizam Sugar Factory(NSF) etc., for the benefit of the students to get the first hand experience related to the industry related to their subject
