Bhiknoor under the Telangana University:
With the establishment of the Telangana University in Nizamabad District, the Osmania University has handed over the Bhiknoor PG Centre to the TU. Since 2008, the TU successfully continuing the M.Sc(Organic Chemistry) course at the Bhiknoor. The TU has launched ambitious plans to make the Bhiknoor PG Centre a grand PG Centre with the launching of a host of courses to make it a full fledged second Campus for the TU.

with number of courses being launched at the Bhiknoor PG Centre, soon it would turn out to be a major centre of higher education not only in the Nizamabad District but also in the Telangana region.

Bhiknoor PG Centre Profile:
The Post Graduate College, Bhiknoor was started in the year 1976 under the Six Point Formula programme with the objective of establishing the PG Centres in rural areas. It was established under the Osmania University then.It is situated at the T junction, known as the BASIC, which is 5 km away from Bhiknoor town and 15 km from Kamareddy town on the National Highway 7 towards Nizamabad. PG College Bhiknoor commenced with M.Sc(Chemistry) having specialization in Agrochemicals, Fertilizers, Pesticides as job-oriented courses with an intake of 12 students. Since its formation, the centre has come a long way in achieving academic excellence and many students went on to pursue Ph.D programmes. The institute with Gurukulam atmosphere in a serene and peaceful environment in 40-acres of lush green lands brings about the best out of the students academically. Every year significant number of CSIR/UGC fellowships are bagged by the students of this college.
